Hi I started toying with Plex after Christmas, installing my video and home video collection with relative ease. Now that I’m in Covid19 lock down I thought it was about time I added my photos. They are stored on my Synology NAS in a file called Photo, which is sub divided into file such as Family, Friends Holidays, gigs etc.
I have added a library to my Plex called Photos and then added the library from the NAS. When viewing on my Plex, each sub folder can be found when I select Folders, but all the folders are empty. Again if I select photo there is nothing there. What am I doing wrong. Everything else came across really easy but I can make no headway with this. Please be gentle with me I’m fairly green to this sort of stuff.

Control Panel - Shared Folders
Go to the Shared Folder you created
EDIT it
Permissions tab.
Give user plex permission to read it.
On Synology, to maintain your privacy, Plex must be given permission to what it can and can’t look at.
