This server is unclaimed and not secure

I have life pass and been using Plex for a few years without issue. In the last month I have been unable to access my server.

Initially I had the error “the application is at 192.xxx.xx.x and is not hosted by Plex” and asked me to sign in. I could see the server and today followed the instructions here to see it:

Now I see the server but I get the server is unclaimed & unsecure:

I have reinstalled, unistalled, and manualy installed form Plex but to no avail. I am back to the latest version installed by Synology.

Tried all that with no luck. Updated PLEX manually, version is in the screenshot. Fresh logs attached. appreciate your help.

You should stop Plex from running when you gather the logs manually, that will avoid a corrupted log file as was found in your archive.

Plex is still timing out when attempting to connect to plex.tv.

Also, you have not set the permissions correctly. Also, please move your media OUT of the default video folder. This folder is reserved for use by Video Station (installed or not) and has been known to cause issues with Plex.
Everywhere I can set permisiions Plex is read/write. Where do I move it to? Bear in mind these files have worked with PLEX from this location for 5 years and only stopped working 8 weeks ago.

No, you mean my modem/router not DSM?

Sorry I wasn’t clear enough, when I move the media files OUT, do you have a suggestion? what folder do I put them in and how do I tell Plex where they are? thanks.

Hi,

I have enabled port forwarding on my router and can now access some recent movies from my Synology box.

However I cannot see my libraries - the server needs to be reclaimed.

I followed the instructions to move my media to a Media folder and reset the folder paths for the libraries. So I see the Synology box and the newly created Media folder.

I can still access some recent movies and metadata. If I click on the settings for the movie it gives me the unclaimed sever message, if I click play it - it plays on some videos.

When I say some recent movies, not all will load. Some generate thumbnails but do not get metadata from IMDB for instance.

I cannot reconnect my libraries because I cannot get past the unclaimed server. I click the Claim Sever button, it thinks & spins about it for a while then goes back to Claim Server.

I manually updated the Plex server using Firefox to 1.20.1.3252.

Thanks for that info, I set DNS server to auto, as well as Enabling Multiple Gateways. All seems to be working. Thanks for your patience.
