This server is unclaimed and not secure DSM7 - Can't claim server - even after fresh isntallation

Server Version#: 1.26.0.5715
Player Version#: 4.76.1
I upgraded a while ago to DSM7 and everything seemed to be ok. Suddenly I get this “server is unclaimed and not secure”. After various tries I panic and deleted PlexMediaServer completely and then installed it again. During the installation process i was asked to add me media folders which I did but eventually when I open Plex in my brower I still get the “server is unclaimed …” status.
I can see that my media is indexed and meta data added in the background, building the database so the server is actually running. The permission for internal system user I checked and are corrctely set. I also deleted now the old (already empty) Plex share and Plex user. I saw some posts referring to DNS issues (no idea what to check here) but since everything else is fine I doubut that.
I have not changed anything on my browser, Router. I need help ! NAS is Synology D418play with Inter CPU. Please help
Latest Version installed. Claim server button has no effect.

Also wondering that remote access is apparently not possible:

If claiming the server has no effect, the most common cause is the Synology can’t connect to Plex.tv

Might you be able to manually create a ZIP file of PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Logs directory and attach it here?

Hi ChuckPa,
Thanks for looking into my problem here. After hours or trying and online research I also suspect the conneciton to Plex.tv but since I haven’t changed anything everything else seems to be normal here it has to do something with either DSM7 or Plex installation.
I have attached the log files and will be looking forward to hearing from you!
For your information I have changed now the DSM DNS setting to manual and put the standardgateway address (192.168.0.1) as first and goolge DNS 8.8.8.8 as alternative DNS there - to no avial too. I used the DSM port check feature to see if there is any issue … but all is ok too.
Logs.zip (1.9 MB)

The default (auto) and this config doesn’t seem to make a difference

change both to google addresses. or change your gateway to the google addresses. by putting in 192.168.0.1 you are asking your router to decide what DNS to use so it is going to use whatever is set up in the router.

Suggest:

main: 8.8.8.8
alternate: 8.8.4.4

This did it for me!
Your my hero! Thank you very very much.

Any idea why this has to be changed and the default setting that apparently works for normal internet browsing etc. doesn’t work for plex ?
