Server Version#: V0000.01.00U.L0628 (extended version L0628)
Player Version#: 5.29.1
Thumbnails do not appear in my Plex library. All icons under ‘movies’ and ‘tv shows’ appear as grey boxes. The unwatched count (number with orange background) appears correct, I can watch media fine - but thumbnails don’t appear and cast pictures don’t appear.
Are you experiencing this on different other Plex apps or only on that TV?
Would you mind double-checking the server version? Version “V0000.01.00U.L0628” doesn’t actually seem to refer to Plex. If you open your server through a browser, you should find the version in Settings > [Server Name] > General.
Plex client version is 5.29.1 (apologies; the V…L0628 is the TV version).
updated info -
Plex client (on VIDAA) - 5.29.1
Plex server (Windows) - 1.25.5319
I connect to Plex using the web interface (to the server) - and thumbnails appear fine. I also have a plex app running on windows on a laptop on my LAN - thumbnails appear fine. It’s just this TV (recent purchase) on which the thumbnails don’t work.
When on “Home” none of the artwork appears - text appears in the thumbnails:
hello again - can anyone from Plex advise if rolling back to an earlier version of the Plex Server (am currently on the latest (1.25.2.5319) fixes the issue?
Hi @tom80H ! Similar problem on my server with version 1.25.2.5319-c43dc0277
On app iPhone, Fire TV, Apple TV.
A restart of the server fixes the problem temporarily but as soon as I have quite a few users playing content on the server, Plex may completely derail and reproduce this problem again
Hey, in the logs of error… can you help @tom80H ??
Format [JPEG] - Insufficient memory (case 4)
Error resizing an image, we don’t trust what we cached [C:\Users\Serveur\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Cache\PhotoTranscoder\fb\fbde039a1aa96b61646352d7b10cee96525a75de.jpg]
This exact same error is happening to me but it’s only happening on one of my FireTV’s. It started about a month ago and Plex will basically stop working after the poster images don’t appear. The only solution I’ve been able to find is to unplug the FireTV so it does a hard reboot. The. Plex is fine but only for a few hours before it starts happening again.
