No Thumbnails shown on Plex App on SmartTV (Hisense Vidaa)

Server Version#: 1.32.6.7557
Player Version#: 5.69.1

I have installed Plex on my Synology NAS DS224+. In my Web-Browser the Thumbnails from Photos and Videos are shown perfectly. On my HisenseTV (OS: Vidaa) in the Plex App are no thumbnails. Not for photos and not for videos. Any idea for this issue?

Same here.
Netgear-NAS.
Server - Version: I tried the beta - hoping it’ll help - but with server-version 1.32.7.7571 it still doesn’t show any images on the VIDAA app.

With the Plex App in FireTV Stick, the thumbnails are working

i know - everywhere else the thumbnails are working…

But fire-tv lacks DTS support - so i ireally like the Hisense Hardware (PL1 - great picture - plays every types of audio). Plays everything really smooth.
It’s just the Plex App which is not that beautiful as it could be…

Are there any hints or ideas on how to fix that issue on the native Hisense App?

I tried it via local IP in the app-settings - which didn’t change a thing.
And the other ideas about allowing the non SSL doesn’t change a thing either…

Hi @thiloschnell, did you solved it?
I received yesterday a new Hisense TV (65E77KQ) with VIDAA OS and I faced the same issue related to thumbnails of local media stored on my plex server (QNAP NAS).
Thumbnails of media under “PLEX” section in the left menu bar (streaming?) are ok.

Any suggestion?

Hi - sadly not. My solution was the Nvidia Shield Pro (Black Friday

Seems to be the only Android Box which works well with DTS, HDR und DD Vision.

So - i don’t use Vidaa anymore… which is sad!

I’ve just got a new Vidaa TV and I’m seeing the same problem.

I’ tried the network settings above but no luck, anybody else got any ideas?

They work fine in the web app, on Kodi using PlexKodiConnect and on the Philips Android TV.

Same problem and not running any nas or whatsoever. Haven’t changed my setup for the past 2 years and it started not showing artwork 2 days ago only on my hisense. Same router same computer the files are stored on.

DNS rebind protection was the culprit on my side that was preventing them from showing

how did you solve then? what can I so on my side?

Check your router settings for dns rebind protection somewhere under wan settings. If you never touched that setting the possibility it is enabled by your ISP on their side
