Tidal is no longer supported in Plex. That’s why.
Plex still allows me to search Tidal AND to play 30 second preview clips of any tracks. It’s like Tidal integration is still there, but Plex no longer recognizes my Tidal subscription. I’m paying Tidal directly, but my Tidal account is still the same account as when I was paying for the Tidal subscription as an add-on to my Plex Pass. It’s like everything still works in Plex, but the app no longer thinks I have a Tidal subscription. Seems like a super simple fix to me.
Everything will be turned off October 28, it’s all part of the phase out. Time to move on from Stage One of grief… Denial.

I’m kinda surprised there’s not an avalanche of posts from people asking what happened to Tidal since it was cut off yesterday. No announcement of what comes next either. Feels like my Plexamp got cut off at the knees without Tidal to fill in the gaps / discover new music.
Maybe there weren’t that many of us in the end 
Crazy if true. I’ve been using streaming music services since 2009… tried them all… and Plexamp is the best by far. They seem to be the only ones really innovating in the space. Can’t believe it’s not more popular.
Fingers crossed for a Tidal replacement.

I guess most people don’t post and just accept it. I’ve just helped a mate download his playlists as CSVs through Soundiz, if anyone needs that option.
Maybe working with one or two of the smaller players like Qobuz, Napster or Deezer would work; they would probably value the extra exposure. Would be great to have more than one integration.
Keep in mind this very thread started by mentioning Plex notified users this is going to happen back in August. So the Tidal integration sunset probably didn’t come as a surprise to most users.
Not that it’s definitely related, but maybe, who knows…

I was a late adopter of the Tidal/Plex integration. I normally put these things off until the last moment but I got really good use out of this one for quite some time. (normally the week I’m investigating how I can make use of these things, the feature cancellation announcement comes out… *cough Plex Cloud, *cough Plex Arcade, *COUGH Podcasts…)
All joking aside, I really did like this integration, and I’d LOVE to see some other musical integration option appear. It was nice when I was watching a show and a song played, to be able to have that at my fingertips.
Actually a huge thank you… I got into podcasts BECAUSE of Plex.
