Tidal playlist not playing music correctly via Plex player / NVIDIA SHIELD

Server Version#: 18.4.271
Player Version#:Latest from Nvidia Shield

When I play a Tidal Playlist I created, only seconds of the songs are played like it’s just playing a preview of the music. This is through the plex app playing Tidal playlists. Playlists created on Tidal.

Looking at your eif999 Plex account:

  1. You don’t currently have any TIDAL account linked (from your account Other Services page). That means it’s impossible for your Plex account to be authorized to access full TIDAL content.
  2. You don’t currently have any active TIDAL subscription through Plex. Your previous subscription was automatically cancelled and ended when you chose to delete your Plex account (after confirming the deletion and then you later got it recovered). We can’t know if you have a separate subscription through TIDAL itself, though.

So, it’s totally expected and correct that you only receive a preview of TIDAL music currently, because you aren’t authorized to play a full song. If you want non-preview access to TIDAL, then you need an active TIDAL subscription (either through TIDAL itself, or start a new subscription through us) and to make sure that the active TIDAL account is linked to your Plex account, via the “Other Services” page.

wrong. I have a Tidal account and it’s linked. Look at the second log. Please don’t try to help when you don’t have all the info. Linked account and the music only plays for 30 seconds at a time when played from Tidal. I’ve unlinked and linked the account many times now.

I’m looking directly at your account in our admin tools. The eif999 account does not have any TIDAL account linked to it, which means that the account won’t and can’t be authorized to play full TIDAL content. So, to start:

  1. You need to link to a valid TIDAL account on the eif999 Plex account’s Other Services page.
  2. You need to make sure you have an active TIDAL subscription for the TIDAL account you linked, whether the subscription is through us (your previous subscription through us already ended, as mentioned) or through TIDAL itself.

(Your only log linked in this forum topic is from Plex Media Server. That log isn’t any use here, because TIDAL content playback is done client-side and not through the server. So, a client/player app log of a playback attempt would be what might be useful—though even then, only after the above two points are addressed first.)

Don’t know what to tell ya dude. I have an account and it’s linked. I have it working on my Android right now. Will check shield later. Again I don’t know what your looking at but I have a tidal account. I’m listening to Depeche mode via tidal on Plex right now
