i am a plex pass user and i subscribed to TIDAL. My account shows i have PLEX PASS + TIDAL. When i access the MUSIC menu on the plex dashboard, the TIDAL advertisements requesting me to look at “more info”. I have messed with it for hours by unlinking and relinking, cancel and upgrading, etc…i could have cascaded problems by doing just that, but either way it never worked from the start.
I already had a TIDAL account but i did use the transfer process.
I think I found the problem. It is sort of dumb how unintuitive it is.
After subscribing, you have to go to Plex > Settings > Account. From there look at the links in the upper right just under your user icon. You should see “Subscriptions - Payments - Other Service.” Click on Other Services. From there you will see a list, including Tidal and click on Tidal to link it to your Plex account.
Sort of silly you have to take this second step after subscribing, but hopefully that works. It worked for me, anyway.
This did NOT work for me - I’m still being told I don’t have a subscription. I will contact Plex support and report back here if I get further information.
I’m having this issue as well. Under the “Other Services” area the Tidal entry reads “TIDAL Account linked. You can re-authorize the TIDAL link. You can also unlink your account.” However the “Music on Tidal” library is not showing as logged in- clicking “My Tidal” shows the account link prompt. I have already tried re-authorizing my account.
I am seeing the same issue, linked my account but when I go to the tidal section on plex it gives me an error. Oddly I am able to select tidal from plexamp and that works but when I go back to my own server it doesn’t seem to let me see any tidal content in the library.
Mine Started working now after 3 days. Might just need to wait. Also worth mentioning. It didn’t start working on all my deices at the same time. I think it took an extra 12 or 24 hours to start working on my phone.
Same here. I follow the steps to link my active Tidal account to my Plex account and get an email congratulating me on linking them but when I go to Plex on any platform whether it’s my PC, Fire TV, Apple TV or Roku, it only plays previews and points me towards subscribing. It’s annoying that Plex has no actual support. Just a forum where people have the same problems but no one from the company to address them.
Having exactly the same issue. Plex pass member as of last week. I signed up for tidal (separately via a £2 for 90 days offer they had)last night, linked my account via “other services” in settings. Got the confirmation email. Neither Plexamp, nor Plex in IOS let me view Tidal music. I’ve occasionally been able to add tidal music via the web app but it seems hit and miss. My PMS is on a synology NAS via docker if that makes a difference. Anyway to escalate this? It’s marring what has so far been a good experience moving from Roon.
