Tidal works from web, not from Android

I have a Plex Pass and linked Tidal account, and it works fine from the web player, but on my Android app it used to work but now just says:

TIDAL is Currently Unavailable
Please verify that the server is running and has a network connection. If you need additional help please visit https://support.plex.tv for assistance.

The server is running and does have a network connection, and as stated works with web player.

So I need additional assistance, and frankly, the support link was not helpful.

Thanks!

I am experiencing exactly the same problem.

Android app version 7.25.1.14216
Plex Server version 1.18.2.2058

Those are the same versions I am running.

Having the same problem as you guys… Must’ve happened with latest plex update on Android.
hope they fix it soon

Just started Tidal subscription. I linked to my Plex server (on synology) and it works on the web app but NOT on Android TV (Nvidia Shield TV).

Do I have to transfer my account to plex or should linking (other services) be enough?

Android app version 7.26.0.14255

With the Android Plex app version 7.25.1.14216 on my S9, and Shields, Tidal work just great on the phone but is a no-go on the Shields.

The News hub is also empty on the Shields, but has playable content on the phone.

Currently running PMS version 1.18.2.2041.

Additionally to not being able to select TIDAL (message saying: Tidal is Currently Unavailable), I tried clicking on “Discovery Radio” (it is the only way I had to get a Mix from my library songs and some TIDAL tracks simmultaneously), now this option crashes my PLEX android App (7.25.1.14216).
Please fix this. I started paying for TIDAL to have an full Plex integration and so far it is not as “smooth” as advertised.

On my Shields I cleared the Plex app Data (not just the cache) and Tidal is once again working with Android TV.

Now I get to set up all my sidebars, and tweak all my settings again…Yay!

Also having the same issues for almost a week now. Tidal is accessible on web and desktop as well as iOS but not my main Android phone. I have just tested it by logging in on my spare Android phone and it seems to work fine.

I guess @bradbart948 solution will be the only way forward and we will all have to also suffer again the same re-customising of our sidebars and hubs. Again.

Takes deep breath

Going to Settings -> Apps -> Plex -> Storage and pressing “Clear Data” fixed the problem. I just had to log into the Plex app again, and re-select my home page navigation, which isn’t too hard.

Clearing app data worked for me as well.

Minor annoyance that Plex should make more obvious in their troubleshooting / FAQ info.

Thanks! You solved my problem with my nVidia Shield!

My Tidal is working on the web but it’s not recognizing my subscription on android app. I’m running the latest version (7.26.0.14578). Tidal shows up but everything I click on says preview only and no playlists, on my desktop player everything plays and playlists show up.

I originally came here to figure out how to fix the error but now the error is gone but I can’t get it to sync with my subscription…

I have same issue. Tidal stop working on Android TV and Android mobile. I tried deleting data, cache, reinstalling etc. Doesn’t work.
