Tip to upload and sync to Amazon Cloud Drive

Just thought I would throw this out there, and others may have even better suggestions or best practices…

While waiting for Plex Cloud Beta invite, I thought I would get a jump on uploading my entire library to Amazon Cloud Drive. But I didn’t want to just upload all the files and then have to remember which ones were or weren’t added as there are always more files being added to my library. What I wanted was to automatically add new files from my local library to Amazon Cloud Drive.

Enter odrive. I used this for the 7 day beta to automatically sync any local folder to ACD. But I didn’t really feel $99 for the premium service each year was with it (for this feature alone, at least). After some google searches, I discovered using symbolic links does the trick and now I have my local library in sync with my soon-to-be Plex Cloud library

Summary: odrive + symlinks = synced local and remote Plex libraries

I have also seen some people make mention of rclone-- I haven’t tried this myself, but I have hear it involves some command line. Still might have to give this a look though
