I downloaded some movies from a friends plex server, so I can watch on the plane and train when traveling. However after downloading the content, I now get error message “Too many active streams” when trying to watch other content from my friends server.
It doesnt matter if I remove the downloaded content, or sign out from every device etc. the only solution is for me to ask my friend to restart the server. Once the server has been restarted I can watch again.
Right!? I am completely unable to use Plex on any of my devices right now, which is to say I am completely dead in the water because of this stupid bug! It’s beyond frustrating that even people that have spent the money and gotten a Plex pass can’t get actual support other than these forums.
Confirmed. This happens when the client has a pending download to complete an item in their download queue, even if it’s not downloading. Example: When “Use Cellular Data” is turned off, and you’re trying to watch anything else on the server despite no items downloading.
