Took Synology update to DSM 7.2.2-72806, now Plex no longer working

Yes. Substitute the appropriate info.

You can also download the file DBRepair.sh by itself
As long as you don’t open it in a Windows text editor, you can download it then upload it to the PlexMediaServer shared folder

@ChuckPa,

Where could I download and once downloaded to the PlexMediaServer folder, just ```
./DBRepair.sh to run?

On Synology, I recommend either of two ways.

  • Put the file in PlexMediaServer

now,

  1. Putty / ssh into the machine, elevate to root (sudo bash), run it

-or-

  1. Use the Task Scheduler as I show in the README documentation

@ChuckPa,

Not sure if it was able to repair, all I did was apply the latest Plex update.

Spoke to soon, - Thanks again

update: i think I got it working by installing the Plex Media Server for Synology (DSM 7.2.2+) linked here: https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/?cat=nas&plat=synology-dsm72

@ChuckPa - Check all media files, all good, you and team save a lot of headaches, again. Thanks.

@ChuckPa,

I just realize the timing on The Intros and Credits are off slightly, can a Refresh of all Metadata fix that, if not how.

Thanks

Edit the library section → Advanced tab .
Uncheck it.
SAVE

Let it clean up
Refresh metadata

Now, if you want to have it reprocess, enable it again.

Just to confirm which item am I unchecking. Thanks

Plex DocumentationEditing Libraries

You want to edit the library itself.

Thanks

I too updated my Synology NAS DS1019+ to latest DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 1 which broke plex for me. I downloaded the latest Plex package for DMS 7.2.2+ (PlexMediaServer-1.41.2.9200-c6bbc1b53-x86_64_DSM72.spk) for Intel64 but when attempting to do a manual install via the package center on the Synology, get the following error. Do I need to uninstall the original plex instance?

Uninstall the package – USE THE KEEP (first) radio button

Now go to plex.tv downloads and get the DSM 7.2.2+ package (there are two dropdowns now due to synology changes) for your machine.

Install it.

awesome, that worked. Thank you!

Hi, I have the same problem. I tried re-installing (in several ways), giving plex more rights to the folders on my NAS (as suggested in another forum), restarted the router (as suggested in another router). So far, to no solution. Would you be able to help me in any way? It would be greatly appreciated. I don’t know what to try/do anymore.
