Total chaos after adding new files

Don’t know what is happening here. I have a folder in Plex with TV Series and several folders with movie genres.
Just wanted to add a new series and what happened? The system also added more than 100 other files which I dind’t choose and not only series, but also movies. When I remove them, the files are removed from my local hard drive. Total chaos. How can I resolve this?

Sounds like your Libraries are not setup properly, and/or you are not using them properly. Time to do some reading.
