I’m coming from Serviio and I’m finding it difficult to keep using Plex and feel I’m missing something.
In Serviio when watching a video through the ‘Series’ view, an asterisk is added to the last file watched in the season showing easily where in the season you’re up to.
Additionally the next show in the season automatically plays when the current one is finished.
Is there a similar setting in Plex? I can deal with the second one but not the first… You’re used to what you’re used to I suppose.
Half-watched episodes will appear both in ‘Continue Watching’ and in On Deck.
On Deck is limited to shows watched within the defined time frame under
Settings - Server - Library - “Weeks to consider for On Deck and Continue Watching”
If you want to resume older shows, you use the ‘Unwatched’ filter in the regular tv show library.
Excellent - this is 90% of what I’m after. Next, after the selected episode on deck has been completed - it just sits at the episode detail screen and does not continue to the next episode, which is clearly on deck in the series as when I go back to the main menu, it shows.
So far the only way to play the next episode in the series, is to do just that; go back to the menu and select the next episode on deck - it just seems strange.
Is this one running the old Samsung Smarthub App from Orca?
If so, it might depend on how you start your playback.
