I have a huge library of music (26k+ songs, tho some are duplicates), and a way i really like to listen to it is just playing the whole library on shuffle. However to prevent having too many repeats of the same songs, i made a smart playlist using advanced filters (a really NEAT feature, btw), using the following filters:
However, it feels like plex sometimes doesn’t register the fact i skipped a track. Obviously, some of the time it’s because it’s not the same track playing but a duplicate of it, but sometimes i only have one copy of a track, i’m sure i’ve had plexamp try to play it to me and skipped it recently, and yet when i reshuffle the playlist, it’ll try to play it back to me. As far as I know, there’s no way to see the last time a track was skipped (you can view the play history but it seem to just show you the last time you completed the track), so i don’t really have a way to prove it’s been playing the same song twice, i just know it happened.
I think it’d be cool to be able to see skip history, and to know how plexamp handles skips: for example, if i only listen to the first x seconds or y percent of a track before skipping, does it count as a skip? maybe the feature actually works well, and i’m just outside of the parameters for it to count as a skip, i don’t know
