Server Version#:1.41.6.9685

Hi!
Want to start out that nothing appears broken, more looking for advise.
My server is set to generate the video previous, intro markers, credits markers, ad, voice activity, chapter, all of these “as a scheduled task and when media is added”
I have scheduled tasks running from 0:00 to 9:00 am, so for 9 hours if needed.
I don’t have that much media but I feel like media markers are being constantly created overnight.
Every night Plex feels the need to create markers, and although I haven’t visually been able to confirm that Plex is creating markers for the same files again, I am wondering if there is a way for me to check the DB for the progress?
I added media during the day which then began creating markers, and eventually this process ended after a few minutes.
The morning after I happened to be up early and checked the player and Plex was again detecting credits for the same media.
Does anyone know the table and column names for where the markers are saved to the DB, so I can check the records for any empty values?
Are your media stored outside of the plex server machine?
If they are, you want to disable
Settings - [Server] - Library- “Empty trash automatically after every scan”
Because otherwise, it can happen that items get ousted from your library, only to be scanned in afterwards.
While that ultimately doesn’t change the contents of your Plex library, it does trigger a new analysis of the affected items.
The contents is on a Drive, which is connected to the Plex Server machine.
Ie, Plex is installed on C:
A drive is mounted on L:\ that carries the content. This is a Drive which is physically attached within the same machine.
Based on this, would you consider it outside, or inside, and should I still disable Empty trash automatically?`
If this drive is one that is sold as an external, mobile drive (usually with a 3.5" HDD inside), then yes.
Because these devices will spin down their platters at every opportunity to save power.
If it’s however an external enclosure for regular desktop hard drives in 5.25", then you have a good chance that the power policy of Windows is actually observed, if you tell it not to spin down the drive platters.
But if you allow it to spin down the platters, then you need to untick the above mentioned checkbox.
The same applies to network file shares/NAS devices.
