After reading countless forums & topics, I’m still not getting why for my local media (movies) I’m not getting the trailers button or extras for any of my media.
I’ve tried with Chromecast with TV player, iPhone app, MacOS app, browser … no trailer button or extras.
What I’m missing/doing wrong?

How have you named/organized those local extras in your library’s folder?
Have you configured the library to include local extras?
Have you refreshed the metadata for your library / individual movies since adding your extras?

It may be the fact I didn’t because I don’t have any local extras 
I thought that Plex can pull from somewhere automatically the trailers for the media (movies) that I have in my library.
So to better understand - extras is studff that I add locally, trailers should be feeded automatically or they also need to be added locally and named acording with the media file?
I must have jumped over that (movies) part when reading your OP.
Have you enabled the advanced setting Find extras for that particular library? Once this is enabled and you refresh your library’s metadata, it should also link those online trailers (and other extras).

For all that are in my showes, not having the trailers & extras on and to ease the intricate way of enabling the trailers, the steps are:
Click on the 3 dots for the collection (Movies in my case) / Manage library / Edit / Advanced / Find trailers and extras automatically (Plex Pass required) and Save changes then again 3 dots / Manage Library / Refresh all Metadata.
