I started having an issue playing trailers on all of my devices. Whenever I try to play a trailer I get “Playback Error: Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.“ My movies and shows are still playing correctly so it’s only when I try to view a trailer. I tried to roll back to an earlier snapshot of Plex on Truenas but it didn’t fix the issue. Help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. I didn’t think it would be a huge issue at first but now realize how much I use the trailers when deciding what type of movie I want to see (2.9 MB)

did you manage to fix this problem? I was experiencing the same issue and it was due to a wrong time on my server, off by few minutes. I fixed it and it solved the conversion error.
I still haven’t been able to fix it. How do I check the time of my truenas server? My library is still playing correctly, it’s just the trailers that aren’t playing.
