I just looking if there is a feature when you can view movies trailers before you watch that movies. I mean that you browse through movies library and youre not sure what to watch so you click some movie that might interested you and there you can watch trailer of this movie first so you can better decide if you want to watch that movie or not. Is this kind of feature even possible? Do I need to do some trick, plugin or own PLEX pass to work this feature?
Note that this is a chrome only solution; you can add metatrailer for plex in the chrome web store (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metatrailer-for-plex/hfldlpenhjpccjiehdlghlpjdfpfcjki). This will add a button to plex allowing you to quickly view trailers.
Thanks for reply but is there any solution within the native PLEX app? I dont use the web access because it cant play HEVC videos.

Install Plex Media Player and use that.
It can play HEVC and looks just like the web app.
So if you have PLEX Pass is there option to play movie trailer from movie menu? I mean exactly one specific feature:
Browse movie library with some option to play trailer (like button or if you open the movie details) of that specific movie that you choice so you can look what is this movie about and decide if you want to look at that movie or not.
I dont mean some autoplay trailer after you click play button of movie I mean independent movie trailer button within movie details that you want to look before you click play button of that movie.
Yes, you will get the button to play the trailer.
And optionally the random trailer(s) when starting a movie.
Nice. That’s exactly what I was looking for and it’s working. I wonder if there is some kind of option to select trailer language or maybe subtitles?
Only what you can select in the properties of the Plex Movie agent.
(tick ‘Include extras with subtitles in library language’)
If your library language is set to Czech, the agent will try and find trailers with czech subtitles – if there are any available.)
