I love Plex so just upgraded to premium to show my support, but I also wanted to be able to watch trailers of my movies… I have so many, I can’t always remember what they are about. Alternatively, sometimes I’ll be with a group of people and we want to vote on what movie to watch so will watch the trailers for a few options on YouTube. I thought with Plex Pass, we would have the option to watch any movie in my library (I used a program a looong time ago that had this feature. I think it might have been Boxee).
But as far as I can tell, though trailers was advertised, this isn’t actually a feature. Seems you can just have it play a random trailer before watching a movie. You can’t have it be THAT movie to make sure it’s what you want to watch. Am I missing something? It would be great to have an icon on each individual movie listing in my library which would launch the trailer for it.

He is talking abut the plex pass feature so i think he wants them to have them jsut show up.
anyone can add them locally if they have the files with or without a Plex Pass
Yes, exactly. What I like about Plex is that all I need is the movie file itself - all the other work is done for me. Until Plex, I used a WD Media Player which was pretty good but a lot of work - I had to install custom software and then find and save my own thumbnails, fan art, etc. Plex does all this for me. Would be great if it also showed the trailer on request as well. Is this not a feature of Plex Pass? If not, are there others who would agree that it should be a requested feature? Thanks.
