I have a connection to the PMS from my ATV and I can easily go in and watch any of the files in the movie section of the library. All of the artworks and other information show up almost immediately. The issue I am experiencing is the XML throws an exception when I try to look at the TV shows part of the library and the Apple TV just says trailers are unavailable please try again later.

The exception message from the terminal can be found here: http://pastebin.com/Pcsgqvg9

The normal level log didn't show any useful information so I turned on High level and that can be found here: http://pastebin.com/cPwHn5f5

I'm not sure how to parse any of the XML info so I'm at a lose. Hopefully I'm not missing something silly and thank you in advance for the help.

I have this problem as well...but it is more specific.  I can watch any movie or any TV show using the internet databases to set it up.  However, I set up a new section for my new son that has old cartoons in it.  As there was no real structure to what I put there, I decided to use the TV Shows grouping and use the personal media agent.  I have 4 folders being scanned which all equate to 4 different cartoons.  As expected, Plex creates 4 different "shows" to browse and each then lists a "season 1" group underneath that.  However, 2 out of the 4 shows gives me the "trailer unavailable" message if I click on season 1.  The other 2 work just fine.  If I move to a "movie" grouping and personal media agent, everything is viewable and it just plasters all 4 shows in one group in alphabetical order...not what I want.  I've tried deleting and rebuilding the whole database and rebooting the AppleTV and this has not helped.

Edit: Also of note is that the iPhone Plex app is able to watch the 2 shows that show the "trailers unavailable" message when clicking on season 1 so it seems to be only a PlexConnect issue.

Popollo,

I think you need to start a new thread with all you post a new Thread and include all of your environment details as listed o n the How to Report an issue page.  https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/How-to-report-an-issue.

you will also need to include logs files etc so your issue can be looked at in detail.

I have exactly the same problem as the threadstarter. Tried rebooting, restarting everything but still only movies work but not TV shows.

Did you try reanalyzing your TV Library via PMS? Try deep scan.

Yes I did. Still not working. It is ver 0.9.7.3. I removed another moviesection that was working. Renamed TVshows to one word, rescanned everything. Still nothing. No cover flow. It says trailers not available try again later. Does it matter that the apple tv is setup to swedish language?

Solved! Upgraded PMS to 9.8.4. Everything working fine!

I have tried deleting the section of the library and doing a deep scan I will give updating to the newest version a shot when i get home from work and try another deep scan as well just to be sure.

I fixed my problem...the 2 TV shows that were having the problems had over 100 episodes and episode 100 was being detected as episode 0 so I ran into that bug.  I did a mass rename to a better numbering format and it picked up the shows correctly from episode 100 on.

It looks like the update and deep scan fixed the issue. Thank you for all the help.
