Trakt scrobbler stopped working after 1.24.1.4931 update on Synology

Server Version#: 1.24.1.4931 (Synology NAS)

The server stopped sending scrobble data to trakt.tv since I’ve updated it to 1.24.1.4931.
I have a trakt.tv plugin installed from the past (not the webhook version) and it worked perfectly till now.

It’s really annoying. :frowning: Could you please help and/or advise?

I’ve raised the issue there as well… however, it looks like the real issue is the new Plex Movie Agent… it doesn’t use the imdb/tvdb/tmdb IDs, but some internal ID which is not matching with any official ID. :poop: Why doesn’t the new agent follow the standards?! :frowning:

I did… but to show you how much irrelevant and unimportant this feature is, let me show you a “Feature Suggestions” topic:

The 2nd voter was Justin (Trakt.tv Co-founder/Developer).

The server update and the new Plex agent have nothing to do with your issues.
The Trakt plugin, even if discontinued, was updated a few months ago to work with the new Plex agent id.
I have the same PMS version and I can confirm that Trakt is working perfectly fine, scrobbling and even pulling if needed.

I would suggest you use kitana (docker install) to better manage the plugin.
Also there is a specific discussion about Trakt :

Synology ds218 is incapable of running docker.

I can only install via package centre

@lyskamm

Unfortunately kitana runs only in docker and it is the easy solution to fully access the trakt plugin (now that Plex has discontinued plugins that require a web interface).
For me it’s working perfectly.

DS218 can run docker (unofficially). There is no official Synology package since it uses an arm processor. and Synology only supports Intel. But if you google it you will find is possible.

I didn’t know there was unofficial support for docker!

Any idea how stable it will be? There must be a sound logical reason why docker doesn’t officially run on ds218?

@lyskamm

There is no reason I know of for Docker to have been dropped on the ARMv8 platform.

Of any of them (ARMv7 / ARMv8), ARMv8 wins hand down , unless Synology is distancing themselves from RealTek
