Transcode not working on Nvidia Shield (2015)

Trying to run a transcode on a DVR recording from an HDHomeRun device. The transcode is able to start/create an output file. The transcoded file has a black video when played from any plex client.

Settings → Trancoder has the following settings enabled:
Enable HDR tone mapping
Use hardware acceleration when available
Use hardware-accelerated video encoding
Maximum simultaneous video transcode 6

Which model?

I don’t see anything obviously wrong in file info. I’m assuming you mean you were trying to make an Optimized for Mobile version. Does it do the same if you choose Optimized for TV?

Yup, video issue happens with any of the default options and played with the custom settings as well ,same BLACK video after running the Optimize command.

The source video will record/play on any plex client (shieldTV/phone/pc/web) . On a test client using LTE the source file will transcode (on the fly) if I set the plex client Settings → Quality → Remote steaming quality 2 mbps. The blank/black video issue seems to be linked to the Optimize feature.

2 speed up testing, ran the following command to create a 30 sec test file, then hit ‘Scan Library Files’ to update plex with the new test file.

happy to share the 30 sec source file if needed, its around 36 mb in size.
