I started manually encoding my movies into mp4

Is there a reason why you want the transcoder to use C:\Users\mikek\AppData\Local
If you leave it empty, plex will use by default C:\Users\mikek\AppData\Local\Temp

My bad. That’s metadata folder… Nonetheless…

Setting>Transcoder>>Transcoder temporary directory
