Someone told me the file might be corrupted and i should try to reencode it to see if that fixes the problem, its obviously a kids tv show for my sons, but they are not that patient when things in our house break
I’m not familiar with how Plex chooses which audio track to play when it knows your system has an AC3 compatible player. So I don’t know what to expect.
Also more often than not, the 5.1 track comes before any AAC track, unlike your file that has it reversed. On my system, I never have to choose the AC3 track unless it’s after a 7.1 track I can’t play.
Maybe it’s the order of tracks and the Roku in combination that’s forcing your to choose, though this doesn’t explain why the transcode stops. The devs would need to see server logs to dig further into this.
PMS will play the first audio track matching the language and fits within transcoding limits (is transcoding disabled or bit rate limited?) unless otherwise instructed
When remuxing a file, the track assignments are easily changed to put AC3 5.1 first.
