I recently noticed that both on my iPhone or Apple TV videos freeze when transcoding is used. Audio continues but video simply stops. Only happens on transcoding.
It happened with a 1.27 version and 1.28.0.5998 shows the same symptoms. Running the server on FreeBSD in a jail. Hardware transcoding is disabled. Never had this issue before. Started 2 weeks ago (with my update to the former 1.27 version which I unfortunately have not noted).
Any ideas? I first thought it was a iOS client issue but since it also happens on the Apple TV and both via WLAN and 4G. Seems to happen when the automatic bandwidth mechanisms kicks in.
I have several reproducible cases. If I change the options away from automatics and choose a specific profile (e.g. 1080p with a specific quality) things run smoothly. So the automatism seems to trigger this. Any insights on this? Or something I can do to debug? Just want to know if this is a known issue…
