Transcoding live TV, missing italics in subtitles, DVR library not loading, player overlay etc

Hello,

I’ve noticed two issues with the new Plex Preview app on Apple TV:

  1. The app forces transcoding for live TV streams from a TV tuner, even when direct play should be possible.

  2. Subtitles in italics are not displayed correctly.

Also, logo images of TV channels (OTA) aren’t displayed.

AV1 playback in direct play is not possible even with custom configuration: GitHub - plexguide/AV1-AppleTV: Profile for PlexServer so Apple TV Plays AV1 Natively (DirectStream) (working on regular and beta version, but not on Experience Preview)

App will not load library that contains recorded content from OTA TV channel (DVR).

And why on earth we can’t remove player overlay when we press back button? When pressing back button on remote, player will close (when in overlay). This needs to get fixed.

Okay, I don’t know what Plex team did but they completely broke subtitles in new update.
Characters č, ć, ž, đ etc. have strange artefact. Completely unreadable.

Live TV tab is not working anymore.
Other videos (library) is still not working.

Yep live TV tab not working on Apple TV as of the latest beta.

Still working on iOS.
