Transcoding video/subs after resuming from FireOS screensaver - Fire TV Stick 4K Max

Hello!

Since I couldn’t found anyone talking about the behaviors below here, I’m doing it.

Odd beahavior 1:
If I pause a video with subs (99.9% of my videos have subtitles) and FireOS automatcally enters its screensaver, when resuming the video Plex will start to trancode (I supose), since the subs now are very large and white (the majority of my subs are SubRip text [.srt]).

After some time, the video usually crashes. Since this happens randomly and the subs transcoded are too large, before it happens (transcode after screeensaver) I always go back to the episodes page and restart the video.

Odd behavior 2:
Also, when I’m not playing anything, but plex it’s running in the backgroud, the subs are not loaded, so I have to stop playing the video and go back do the episodes list page. Plex updates the page (you can see this happening, sice the page “blinks” for a moment). After this, the video will play whith the subs loaded.

I haven’t noticed the issue of subtitles getting larger, but I have had this crash occur under the same circumstances you described.

I’ll try to share some images of this problem here as well and observe what happens with *.ass subs, also.

As for *.srt, the bug occurs with internal or external subs.
