Hi Folks,
I have 1 tv show from the 80’s which Plex hasn’t found a main poster for, but the poster it has found for the series of which there was only 1 is great. Does anyone know of a way I can make the series poster the main poster too for this show or where I can download the series poster from please? I can’t find where Plex has found the series poster, despite extensive searching.

plex gets poster for TV generally from the TVDB and themovoiedb.org. but jsut look at your agent settings. what show is it?
You could try naming and structuring your TV Show properly:

Dark Matter - TheTVDB.com - Dark Matter at TVDB to get the correct Show Name
If you name it this way:
H:\TV Shows
…Dark Matter
…Season 03
…Dark Matter - S03E03 - Welcome to the Revolution.mkv

If that isn’t something you’re interested in doing you can right click on the image you really like, save as, name it ‘show.jpg’ and drop it in the TV Show Name folder - if you have one of those (for this to work you really will need one of those)::
H:\TV Shows
…Dark Matter
…show.jpg <— drop that puppy right there in the Dark Matter folder
…Season 03

I’m not too sure how successful that link is going to be if the first link didn’t hit any pay dirt, but there you go.
If you name and structure properly to begin with - and have Fanart.tv enabled in your Show Agent line up, the chances are pretty good that poster you like will be in the poster edit list you can choose from - so it all really boils down to… naming and structuring properly to circumvent all these gyrations after the fact.

If it’s the ‘Episode’ Thumb you want as the Main Show Poster - more gyrations - hold Alt and press Print Screen to grab a screenshot. Open Paint. Hold CTL and press V. Crop until you get that thumb - then do the gyrations above. At this point you should be aware those images have a completely different aspect ratio so what you’re going to come away with isn’t going to be what you think it is, so enter even more gyrations.

That’s funny. This is the exact show that changed posters on me mid season3.
I wasn’t mad but I was like WTH? Why are you changing on me. I was so used to the original image it took me a few extra seconds to find.
