Hello everyone!
I have been using Plex DVR for a while. I combine it with MCEBuddy/Comskip to pull the commercials out. Every once in a while I will look at the running processes and notice that there is a PlexTranscoder.exe process even though nobody is watching anything and it is always pulling about 25% CPU utilization. Here it is:
It refers to a .ts file that shouldn’t be there in the first place, so I don’t know how these keep escaping MCEBuddy/Comskip after recording. I assume it is trying to generate thumbnails for the episode, but it just never ever stops. I have DVR setup to poke a script after recording to process through MCEBuddy that works fine 99% of the time (found on Reddit).
Any ideas? My only way to fix it currently is to kill the PlexTranscoder.exe process and delete the episode (I’m fine with this since my recordings aren’t life or death) I just don’t like taxing the CPU so much for absolutely no gain.
Thanks!
