Trying to find a way to export a report of missing media from PMS library

Had a drive holding movies die. Was in the middle of migrating to new drives so no backups or monitoring software running at this time. Webtools doesn’t work for this situation, literally hangs during processing because I can’t link to actual drive, only it’s empty mount point, cause it’s dead. Tautalli won’t do it from what I’m seeing. Items aren’t in trash so advanced filtering by trash is out. No inherent filtering for “missing” so can’t even get a visual list of what’s not there. Gap (old app for this) is defunct. Plextocsv is no longer maintained so I can’t even export and filter a csv by “location column”

Server is headless ubuntu so any SQLite viewer or utility that needs GUI on server access or running is out.

Does anyone have any good actually August 2024 relevant solutions or ideas? Beyond going through all 746 movies and clicking into “get info” to see if it says “unavailable”, which is insane?

Pretty disappointed and frustrated that there is no internal solution for this after all these years with plex. :disappointed:

Its functionality is now integrated into WebTools NG
Make sure to disable “Empty trash automatically after every scan” in your Server-Library settings immediately.

I definitely did do that.

Well, my issue though is that I can’t get the Find Media tool to work, to get a list out. And interestingly nothing that shows as unavailable is in the trash so I can’t filter by that in the UI either

Then start a library scan. It should mark everything that is unavailable as trashed.
(unless it is a whole drive that is absent. In which case you will have to export the whole library and then filter the CSV file by the drive letter column.)

The feature is called Export Tool. Are you using WebToolsNG? It’s a standalone app, not a Plex plugin.
