I’m trying to setup remote access for my Plex server because I’d like to use it as my streaming source for my music. I can’t get the remote access working no matter what I try though. This is what I am seeing in the remote access settings.
The public IP address matches both but when I check on canyouseeme.org, it can’t see the service. I have an Arris NVG468MQ router/modem from Frontier Wireless, if that makes a difference.
It doesn’t look like Plex is aware that you created the port forwarding.
On the same page, there is a checkbox “Manually specify public port”. Tick it and put the port number 32400 behind it.
After saving these changes, repeat the test with canyouseeme.
Do you have a second “router”-device in your network?
If canyouseeme is failing, the port forwarding is either not working
or your ISP has put you behind a https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier-grade_NAT
In the latter case, only your ISP can do something about it.
