Remote access

Remote access
so I have been trying to get the remote access to work and so far have been unsuccessful.
I am currently using port forwarding.
Under manual. I put in 32400 and then click retry. It shows everything works for a few seconds and then drops off, and it shows in red “not available outside your network”
I set up port forwarding in my router, using 32400
I do have a Plex pass
and I did try the automatic with the same results

I called my current Internet provider and they do not block any ports. I did add 32400 to the incoming on the firewall and still no results

My Plex media server is actually installed on mycloudPR4100
which on the Plex media server it points to. Which is correct
and just so you know within my network. I can see, listen to any of my movies through my smart TV. So that part is working just remote access is not

It takes a few seconds for Plex to do a full accessibility check… so the initial green status indicator just means it hasn’t run into problems yet – it doesn’t mean it’s actually been working for a few seconds.

Here’s a guide you can use to help pin down what’s causing your remote access issues.

Well thanks for the reply. I’ve already looked through the troubleshooting. That’s why I’m here. And it wasn’t very helpful at all. I did everything it said to do and I still have an issue

thanks for your help though

Is the IP address that plex shows in remote access the same as what https://canyouseeme.org/ shows for you?

Sorry for the late reply
I tried. Can you see me and this is what it showed
Error: I could not see your service on provider on port (32400 )

I took out the address and replace it with provider for privacy

Can you compare the IP address that Can you See Me shows you and what Plex shows in the remote settings and let us know if they are the same? (GNAT might be the issue)

Yes they are the same

Since you have the port forwarding rules already set, can you change the local IP of the server to match what is defined in the port forwarding rules?

I found the problem
it turns out my wave modem was doing the port forwarding
so no matter what I put in my router under port forwarding. It would not work because the wave modem was doing the port forwarding

I would rather have my router do the port forwarding
but I cannot figure out how to tell the wave modem to stop port forwarding and allow things to go through. I am opened up for suggestions

If something happens to the wave modem and they replace it
I would have to enter all the port forwarding again
there is no way to save the settings to a file
to retrieve if necessary
the wave modem is CGNVM-3582 Hitron Technologies
