Tuner Setup Error - Problem fetching channel mappings

I moved to a different area, so I thought I would delete my DVR and set it up again. I’m getting an error when setting up the DVR “There was a problem fetching channel mappings. Please try again later.” The HDHomeRun device was detected, antenna is selected (with 53 channels listed underneath that drop down menu, Country - United States, and I entered my postal code (along with many others). When I click next, there are 2 green checkmarks to indicate that it ‘gathered data’ and ‘scanned channels’. It seems like it hangs and errors out on the third option, ‘finding the best guide’. After a second or two, it then presents me with the error that I mentioned above. To me, it seems like plex is trying to get data from a site that doesn’t exist or is taken down? I’m just guessing. Anyone have a fix or workaround for this?

Tuner Make/Model: HD HomeRun CONNECT

Back up your database files and upgrade to the latest GA version Plex Media Server 1.23.4.4805.

Your version is a bit old so I would anticipate further hurdles with all the changes.

Hi Tiebierius. Thanks for the quick reply! I actually just figured it out (at least how to get it to work). Instead of navigating to the app.plex.tv url, I figured I’d try the local IP address with the port 32400 at the end. This worked for me, I was able to pull down the guide and get it going. Not sure why this worked, but it should be helpful to others if they have this issue.

Plex enables multiple EPG support so the only client that would still work with the server version would have been the localhost one.
