TV does not see second plex account

4K TV in living room, 2 computers in both bedrooms. I set up plex on my computer, works great TV sees it OK.
Setup a separate plex account on second computer, TV does not see second account.
I need this so I can play my stuff on living room TV and my brother on the second computer can play his stuff on the living room TV.
Thanks

Do you mean you setup 2 Plex accounts as in 2 different logins or 2 servers? 1 server can handle multiple streams at once.

You can only workaround this by using the same plex account for both servers.

Or one of you gets a Plex Pass and then invites the other one into his Plex Home.
Then you will have Fast User Switching available.

I found it, there was a place that showed both accounts. It worked.

On this Sony TV if I click on “videos” both are listed but only one works. If I click on the other one videos photos music are gray out.
I have 2 computers with plex installed, these are separate accounts (each account has its own e-mail address)
I want to be able to switch between accounts on the TV.

Thanks

OK now, after some reading I think the way I need to go is this:
1- sign in to my account on my brothers computer
2- claim his server

how do I claim his server? plex instructions says to click “server” on the right. I have no server on the right, where would I find this?

So both computers have different media? Don’t need to claim his server as it’s his under his account so you can never claim it. Either add the media to where you can get to it or share his folder where the media is at (both computers would always have to be on for your server to access his media). Or if you have a NAS, access the media there then not dependent on his computer staying on all the time.

Let him first open his web browser and sign into his own server.
Then sign out his server
server_sign_out

Afterwards, you can reload your own web browser. It should tell you that there is an “unclaimed server” in your local network.
Claim it. From then yon, you are the “owner” of both servers.

You can then create a share for your brother, so he is allowed to access his server (and maybe yours too).

But keep in mind: by doing this, you are the admin of both server. If your brother wants to change any settings on his server, needs to use your account.
So the better way would be to use a Plex Pass, particularly if you are both sharing a playback device (e.g. the big telly in the living room).

If you have both servers, don’t forget to increment your port forwarding settings as both can’t use the same one for public port.
