TV Episode shows hundreds of files that do not exist. Cannot remove them

I have this episode of The Office which shows hundreds of duplicated files. I am unable to delete them from plex, they do not exist on disk. I have tried removing the episode entirely but still shows there as “Unavailable”. Replaced it with a new copy, still shows hundreds of the old ones “unavailable”.

How can I clean this up?

Try the Plex Dance with the episode.

When you finish step 4, the episode should not appear on the server (as if it was never there).

When you finish with step 6, it should be listed correctly, with just one entry in Media Info.

If that does not work, run DBRepair for Plex Media Server. It will check the database for structural issues and attempt to repair any it finds. It also optimizes the database in the process.

Use STOP, then AUTO, which combines several of the individual steps. If everything is OK you can START and EXIT.

If it finds problems it cannot correct, then report back and include the output.

Completely removed the episode, scanned, emptied trash, etc. Episode still shows in the list as “unavailable”.

Try DBRepair.

is /television empty?

This did not fix the issue. Shrunk my DB a little though.

No, I literally have tens of thousands of episodes.

Solved! I don’t know if it took a while for the menu system to catch up with the DBRepair, but I went back a couple hours later and the item was all sorted out.
