Once an HD Homerun recording grab finishes and processes, Plex is creating two posters for the recording. One is listed properly in Recently Added TV with the proper title below the poster. The other is in my Movies section, with the wrong title “Season 2019”
Here’s the path to the file and the file name Plex gives it:
\myserver\Users\Public\Videos\tvshows\Court TV Live (2019)\Season 2019\Court TV Live (2019) - 2019-06-12 00 00 00 - Episode 06-12.ts
How can I get Plex to stop creating the Movie poster?
How is your Movies library configured? Does it have any storage location pointing to the \myserver\Users\Public\Videos\tvshows or any subdirectories under tvshows? Perhaps screenshots showing how your libraries are setup would help.
How are the libraries configured? Based on this screenshot I am going to guess that your Movies library is configured with “users\public\public videos” as the location. If so that would explain why you have duplicate images. I would suggest adding a movie folder under Public Videos and moving all the movies to that folder. You would then have a tvshows and movies folders under the Public Videos. Each type of content would be isolated to their appropriate folder. Then configure your movies library to point to \users\public\public videos\movies.
Your guess is correct and your advice makes sense. It make take some time to move all the movies, but it sounds like thats what I need to do. Is there an easy way to do that move in Win 10? Cut/paste, Move, Send to?
And thank you! I’ll update this post after I take your advice.
Once you create the folder you can just select the individual movie folders and drag them to the new folder. In Windows when you drag a file/folder to a location on the same disk Windows moves the items.
Moving the movies to the new directory fixed the issue. Thank you! Minor problem now… after I moved all my movies they are showing up alphabetically in “Recently Added Movies” is there a way to have them listed by Date Added (most recent first) in Recently Added Movies?
In the past I recall following the Restore a Data Base for Windows wiki, but since I just moved the directory I was afraid to try that solution. This isnt a big deal, but do you have any Advice to fix that?
