I have a folder titled “TV Shows” and a folder titled “Plex Movies” on my hd. I created a “TV Shows” library and have only and all TV shows in it; none of those are duplicated in the “Movies” folder. However, one of those TV shows (MASH complete series) is showing up in the “Movies” library as every single episode and they show up in the “TV Shows” library as a single poster but with the total number of episodes listed on that poster. That is the proper way it should be shown. How do I remove all of those MASH episodes from the “Movies” library?
Secondly, how do I change the poster to a single image at the same time for multiple shows? Or do I have to go into “Edit” for each one and change the poster individually?
Edit your Movies library,
go to the “Add Folders” tab
and inspect the folder path closely.
It must only point to the folder which holds all the movies.
In your media storage of course, your folder with all TV shows in it must not be a sub-folder of the “movies” folder.
I recommend you to avoid the pre-defined folders for “Videos” on Windows computers, btw.
These can be turned into “libraries” by Windows, which then collect the content of several different folders. This is intransparent to Plex, so you might get confusing results out of this.
