Folks I have my plex and a HD Homerun device as a dvr etc… However plex is not picking up the correct TV guide for my area. Specifically the cable box in the living room shows the NFL preseason games whereas when I go into the plex to record my team the shows are not the same. I have validated this is the plex as if I start the homer app the guide is displayed correctly.
I have looked round the settings and searched online for a solution with no luck, hopefully someone here can assist. Thank you.
On Comcast/Xfinity in the Phila area I see this. For example on the STB something may be channel 1050 but in Plex it’s 850. Sometimes the HomeRun software will show both 850 and 1050 but Plex only has EPG data for one or the other channel so regardless of which is actually mapped the channel will use the EPG channel number.
So you definitely want to check out the mapping to make sure all channels DID map and are correct.
/Settings/ Live TV & DVR menu
Then on the right side of the screen you will see “X enabled” where is X is the number of channels active on your tuner. Click that as it’s a link.
This will open a new dialog and it should be easy to figure out from there.
