Eventually, something like this will happen deep inside the Plex Dev cave
Someone in on the Client app DevTeam will want to watch something that isn’t on their server, and switch to a share they have from another DevTeam member and notice
Wow all their TV Smart Collections are empty. Hey Joe, all your TV Collections are empty. Joe responds, they look fine to me
and they’ll both chuckle about how the Quality Control Team let another bug through.
Then eventually, on a Zoom Meeting, it will get brought up and we may then get some movement on this
Created a simple Smart Collection to put on the Home Screen for me and my users (only a few) that displayed “Unwatched Recently Released Movies” and was going to create “Unwatched Recently Added Movies” as well (cleans up watched movies from the hub so reduced scrolling) but only works for my watch history. My users see content in the rows but only based on the watched status of the admin account instead of their account.
Hopefully the Smart Collections can be adjusted to match user accounts.
Looks like the 2 recent updates were to correct specific crashes vs feature updates.
They need to be given a rating/label/etc if you have restrictions set up. If a user only has access to see PG movies the smart collection needs to be labeled PG and they will only see PG movies in it.
But if you can tell me any more about the rules you set for the collection I can try to repro. This is a screen of the current beta server, my shared users see them with current public as well
