TV Library Smart Collections fail to load correctly

PMS Version 1.22.3.4392
PlexWeb Version 4.56.3

I just got done creating a bunch of Smart Collections. They seem to work perfectly for my admin account but the TV Collections are empty on my test user account.

Movie Smart Collections do seem to load correctly for my test user.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. I posted about it on Reddit and there seems to be more people affected by this bug.

Same thing for me as well -

Create a Smart Collection in a TV library, and the server admin can see it just fine. But any shared users can not the content of the Smart Collection

I’m also having this issue. I guess this explains why the Smart TV Collection I added to my Home Screen doesn’t work for anybody but me and fails to load for everybody else.

Maybe someone from plex will notice this thread eventually

Keep it on the first page of the forum for: just the right amount of time - and the chances are pretty good.

You have good point, I should probably try keeping it on the first page

I have created two Smart Collections:
“Otto Preminger” in Movies
and
“Keeley Hawes” in TV Shows.

I have asked Friends to have a look - I don’t have time or the inclination to create a test account, but we’ll see what happens abroad. Some will be on Rokus and some will be on ‘something else’…lol

I’ve tested with multiple difference servers with several different clients and they’re just always empty.

Same here, however i have mixed results. Some do and some don’t work for my test user.
They can see them all, but seemingly only half display tv shows. The ones that contain no tv shows can be played by clicking play on the collection poster or editing the filters gives the entire list.

They only as far as i can tell differ by different genres as a filter (action doesn’t work, fantasy does for example). I also note that the smart collections that do work the tv shows within them can only be viewed in 1 horizontal row. As opposed to a manual collection that can be seen in a normal grid layout.

And i can only get manual collections to appear on the test users TV Library Recommendation tabs rows (so not even the smart collections that are browsable appear).

It all functions and appears fine as my ADMIN account.

See the exact same thing -

I’ve not bee able to get any shared user, no matter the client, to be able to see the content of any TV Library Smart Collection

Ok, just finished checking JuiceWSA Smart Collections.

Otto Preminger Collection is just fine. In the Web App and on The WebOS app and Plex for Mac. With Continue watching functioning

Keeley Hawes, all I get is Mrs Wilson if I click on The Smart collection poster using the Web app in Edge Browser followed by a playlist of Episodes from each show NO posters. LG WebOS app, NOTHING, Plex for Mac a Playlist of episodes NO Posters. Does appear in Continue Watching, Kippy Ki on that one.

So the Keeley Hawes Smart Collection is all fracked up, way down at the bottom of Earth :upside_down_face: :worried:

iPadOS nothing works with Keeley Hawes but Otto Preminger works fine. So a mixed Bag…

Well, at least you got to see that fine Collection Poster… thx for checking it out.

You are see what everyone else is -
Movie Smart Collections work fine for shared users

The issue is, as everyone has motioned, with TV Smart Collections and shared users

I have sent an email to Ruth Wilson, Alias Alice Morgan. She will sort this out quick Smart… Lol

Ok, good correlation. Yet TV shows Smart Collections only show like a playlist for shared Users.

It’s just a shame

we go to the trouble of creating Collections of American Classic TV, and the shared user can not see it

RUH-ROH Raggy!!!

Yes, it is.

… with 149 Collections holding every one of 6500+ Movies/645 Shows-12,500+ Episodes, I imagine I could make good use of Smart Collections - but not if I’m the only one that can see what’s in them:

Unfortunate that it wasn’t fixed in the latest beta release.

My mother-in-law is still unable to find her favorite HGTV shows because my collection appears empty to her.
