TV Posters / Artwork missing randomly

Running plex DVR Beta 4 in a centos 7.2 VM mouting a qnap nas for storage.

My TV Directory (couchpotato source, FYI), the artwork randomly and constantly goes missing. I’ll do a force refresh and it will fix problem for a day or two then happen again. I’m at a complete loss. I’ve done a search but nothing seems to be the fix.

Thanks!

Drag zip file to a message window and drop it.

Juice, sorry I never saw your reply…I’ve just lived with it. I’ll do that tonight

Logs attached, thoughts?

I did just start using season folder for “television”, (read that somewhere)…by just start, I mean 20 min ago.

/mnt/multimedia/TelevisionOLD/Hawaii Five-O/06/Hawaii Five-O - S06E02 - Draw Me A Killer.avi
should be:

A TV Show Library/
…Hawaii Five-O (2013)/ <— Hawaii Five-O will work for now and for as long as Plex/TVDB is all screwed up
…Season 06/
…Hawaii Five-O - S06E02 - Draw Me A Killer.avi

Renaming/restructuring is best performed OUTSIDE the library and you’ll need to write a new bundle for the show(s) so The Plex Dance® was invented:

The Plex Dance®:

  1. remove show from library
  2. update library
  3. empty trash
  4. clean bundles
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200392106-Library-Actions <— update library, empty trash, clean bundles
  5. bring names and structures into compliance
  6. replace corrected show into library
  7. update library

All Steps. In Order. No Shortcuts.

You may need to Plex Dance all shows you’ve changed and you’ll need to bring all shows into compliance if you want reliability.

Juice I had sonarr rename everything and did a full refresh. So far everything seems to be working. When I get home I’ll double check my naming/compliance and try the dance.

Thank you!

just an update, no artwork issues since I did this.

Only change i made was added year to the TV Show Root Folder…wonder if that did it or the plex dance

Hard to say.

Typically The Plex Dance® is required to re-write a bogus bundle when Plex insists on holding on to it as if it’s life depended on it. You’ll know this is happening when you change names and structures and nothing happens. Plex has that bogus bundle in it’s teeth and won’t let go until you Plex Dance®.

If your TV Show has a ‘remake’ - like Hawaii Five-O (that’s an O not a Zero) - the year is required if you want to match to the old show; ‘Hawaii Five-O (1968)’. ‘Hawaii Five-O’ simply defaults to the new version - undocumented change Plex hasn’t bothered to fix or tell anyone how it works now.
