Plex Version 1.7.5.4035
OS Win 2012 R2
Data on NAS (Mapped network drive)
I’ve imported my Movie Library into Plex and everything worked perfect (Very impressed).
Next, I imported my TV Shows and it’s working to a point where it gets the Show Name, Seasons, Episode Names and Descriptions etc. However, I’m getting no artwork at all. I know it’s not essential but it looks good.
Z:\Data\TV Shows
–> Show Name
----------> Season x
--------------------> Show Name - 1x01 - Episode 1
Should be:
Z:\Data\TV Shows
–> Show Name
----------> Season xx
--------------------> Show Name - S01E01 - Episode 1.mp4
Just in case you are using MP4/M4V (or ever want to) visit:
Plexweb/Settings/Server/Agents/
Drag Local Media Assets to the bottom of every Agent list under all tabs for Show and Movies.
I’ve followed the steps exactly and I’m still not seeing the artwork, although all other data is populated when I move the corrected files back into the library. I’ve double checked and double double checked my file naming convention.
I have “Poster” images on each individual episode but I don’t have images on the Show, Season or in the background…
I have all of my TV shows in the following format:
Z:\Data\TV Shows
–> Show Name
----------> Season xx
--------------------> Show Name - S01E01 - Episode 1.mp4

Local Media Assets is at the bottom in agents
All tabs for Shows: TVDB and TMDB… TVDB should be at the top under it’s tab, TMDB should be at the top under it’s tab, but really… TVDB is the only TV Show database worth a hoot. Still you should not disable TMDB or move it’s agent under TVDB in the TMDB tab, the idea being if TVDB doesn’t have the item TMDB ‘might’.
Anyway…
If you’re certain you’re using compliant naming and structuring and have done The Plex Dance EXACTLY as it’s written, leaving out no steps and performing them in the order they are presented - then do it again exactly as it’s written…
The Root cert (The USERTRUST Network) is automatically installed when you browse to a URL in a browser, but the Intermediates are not installed. Once I installed the Intermediates and did The Plex Dance all art was working.
For any others with the same issue, to resolve you need to:
Open above URL in IE (This will automatically add “The USERTRUST Network” to your Trusted Root Certification Authorities Store, note this will appear as AddTrust)
Click the “Padlock” in the address bar > View Certificates
Click the “Certification Path” tab
Click “View Certificate” on “COMODO ECC Certification Authority”, install to Local Machine Intermediates Store
Repat step 4 for “COMODO ECC Domain Validation Secure Server CA 2”
You should now have “AddTrust External CA Root” in your Root store and two Comodo Intermediates in the Intermediate store.
