I bought lifetime Plex Pass to use the DVR feature for over the air TV recordings. I have made several successful recordings, but the last four or five have only recorded for 2 seconds then stopped recording. I am using a new Win 10 computer for the server with plenty of storage on a WD NAS. My HD homerun is working fine because I am still moving over from the pretty awful HD Homerun DVR program and it’s recordings never stop at two seconds. I have been using the commercial skip feature in Plex that HD Homerun does not have. How do problems like this get diagnosed in Plex?
Try adding more tags to the post that identify your clients and server OS. This should get the attention of the techs that monitor those tags.
Me too.
Symptoms like this have been seen before where there is no tuner found to be free until the near the end of the scheduled recording and you would end up with the last few seconds.
If it is the first few seconds then that would be due to a different cause
To investigate problems, it is necessary to run with debug logging on the server and to capture the server logs soon after the problem arises and then to upload the logs zip together with details of what was being recorded and when and what the outcome was

I would suggest also trying out the new Plex Media Server beta to compare
The logs were provided here How does one get actual technical support (rather than lots of views w/ no replies) and responded to there
