I bought Plex Plass and a DVR tuner just for football season. Went to watch the first game of the season and only 56 minutes of the game recorded despite the recording schedule showing a changing progress % up through the end of the game when it finally reached 100%
What can I check to problem solve, and has anyone else had this issue?
Same issue here. I got 25 minutes of the game set to record yesterday and frequently get only 5-10 minutes of other shows. About to see if the HD Homerun software is any better.
I’ve had your issue as well as some 30 minute shows taking over 5 hours to show in my library, if even at all. I’m running the plex server on my iMac. It’s a 3.2GHz core i5 with 24GB of ram. I’m saving files to an external drive connected via usb 3.0.
I just signed up for a year of the HDHomeRun dvr to see if I can at least record shows there and point plex to that directory.
I’m running Windows 7 on my HTPC/Plex server- so I think I’m just going to go back to recording OTA with WMC and letting Plex pull files from that directory.
Same problem here. I rebuilt my media box a couple of weeks ago from Win 7 to Win 10 and copied my PMS data across and (coincidentally?) ever since then I’ve been seeing at least 50% of my recordings coming up short, even when there is no potential overlap with another recording. I’ve also had to restart the server a few times to fix issues with the tuners (a single HD Homerun Connect with two tuners) never releasing after completion of a recording and the system stopping all recording with no explanation.
Think they’ll give a refund? Literally the only reason I bought Plex Pass.
I am having this same issue and bought Plex Pass just for the DVR. However, I do know they are working on this issue. There are several threads with similar issues. Not sure if 1.9.0 fix all of the issues, but I seem to be having better luck with this build (Not all are completing, but more are).
