This problem is a result of this new feature: “Allow TheTVDB agent to use The Movie DB’s HD episode images” in server version 1.0.1. I have complete seasons of “The Donna Reed Show” and “Father Knows Best”. Everything was fine until I upgraded to version 1.0.1. I now have random episode posters (images) that have nothing to do with either show. Plex initially does a video capture from each episode, which works fine. The TVDB site has no episode images for either show, so Plex now searches The Movie DB and downloads these non-related images. When I browse either show on the Movie DB’s site, I see all the random non-related images that have replaced the previous correct ones on my server. I have tried changing the Agent settings with no improvement. It appears that this new “feature” is hard-coded and cannot be disabled. Please advise.
Jul 26, 2016 Update:
I have rolled back Windows 10 PMS from version 1.0.2.2413 back to 0.9.1703.2239 (uninstall - reinstall). I completely removed both TV shows mentioned above, then Update Libraries > Optimize Database > Clean Bundles > Empty Trash, and add both shows back to the TV Shows library. All is back to normal; all episode posters are correct. I do not consider this discussion fixed or closed; this is a temporary fix at best. Someone needs to take a minute to look at The Movie DB for the shows above, themoviedb.org/tv/10118-father-knows-best/season/1 acknowledge the corruption and address the issue.
