I tried to side load the fix on Sunday and took a while to figure out how to get the file on the Fire Stick to run it only to have it error out. The fix update finally pushed out to them yesterday with the last one late last night and are working again. I currently have 4 TV’s in the house with a Fire Stick installed on each one and it broke all 4 of them.
Finally! Here I thought I was going to have to start hanging out with my wife and kids. Lol. Got the update and it works.

Currently still having this same issue, I can’t scroll to the next episode without the app restarting, is there any further news?
If you guys had to offer your own views, what would be your device of choice to use PLEX on a TV? I like the firestick as it is cheap and functional, doing everything it says on the tin (if you know what you are doing 
)
This crashing issue has only started in the last few weeks for me, been using PLEX for well over a year now, and it is immensely useful as I have about 4TB of media. I’m not complaining! Just wondering if a fix is due soon, or is the firestick sort of last on the list? All other devices work swimmingly.

I am on Plex App v8.19.4.26517 (Win10 Server Version 1.23.5.4862 or nvidia Shield Version 1.22.2.4282) and navigating the menus (as described above) continues to crash Plex on all 3 of my Firesticks. I have gone as far as completely removing all Plex apps, deleting/re-installing the Plex Server from/on my Win10 PC/Nvidia Shield yet the problem persists.
I can run the Plex app on my Nvidia Shield connecting to either server noted above and I have no problems.
That would indicate it’s a different issue than what was originally reported here. Can you reproduce the issue, and create a new thread with the logs, please?
How is my issue different? The Plex app crashes when I browse/navigate menus. Just like i itcsburnett_gmail_com above, I can browse some series fine but most simply crash the app and returns me back to the home page. There is nothing more I can add that hasnt already been said above.
Because it’s a different root issue, and not the one that was originally reported in this thread (which was to do with how images are rendered on older Android versions). I don’t doubt that it’s crashing for you, I’m just saying it’ll be a different cause, deserving of its own thread.

The Fire TV sticks run Android (Fire OS 5 is based on Android 5, Fire OS 7 is based on Android 7), and the Fire TV devices run our Android app. You’d note the fix was included in our Plex for Android app, which includes links to both the Google Play versions, and the Amazon versions of the app.
