TV Show Only Matches first episode each season

Server Version#: 1.21.3.4021

This I have never seen before.

Series is “Lost In Space (1965)”. Have 3 seasons with 30 or so episodes per season. Have the directory structured organized like all my other TV shows (I have many). Basically…
Lost In Space
-Lost In Space S01
-Lost In Space S01E01
-Lost In Space S01E02

Plex will match the TV show OK. Create the 3 seasons OK. But for each season’s episodes, only the first episode matches showing meta name/written by/etc. All the other episodes for that season show only as “EPISODE 2”, “EPISODE 3”… Plex sees all the episodes but only has meta data for the first (in each season)

Also, if I mark any episode in a season as played - it marks ALL episodes for that season as played. Same thing if marking unplayed. So you really can’t even just ignore the fact that Plex couldn’t match the meta data and watch the season. Because as soon as any episode is watched - ALL episodes for that season are flagged as played and trying to play the next episode just goes to the next season.

Again - I have several TV shows on my server and have never run into this before. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you try naming the season “Season 01”?

Guess I should have mentioned: yes I tried that. Same result. For the past two days I have tried several different combinations of names always yielding the same results. First episode matches, everything else doesn’t. And any changes to any episode regarding played/unplayed effect all episodes in the season.

I have Lost in Space as well I use: …/TV Shows/Lost in Space/Season 02/Lost in Space – s02e17 – Episode Name.ext as found in Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files | Plex Support
If you are set up this way, have the local file info agent at the bottom of the agents in settings, I’d recommend you check the standardization of all your shows files and folders and do the plex dance (The Plex Dance ™) to clean up the metadata. This should get you going

“The Plex Dance” fixed it.

Thank you

great!
