TV Show & Season Level Extras don't show up

Extras work great for my movies so I followed this guide to add extras to some of my shows, but I can’t get TV Show Extras to show up on my Android phone in the PLex app.

I am using the Plex TV Show agent/scanner too.

This is my structure:

\Star Trek Voyager (1995)\Featurettes\Season 7 Interviews.mkv
\Star Trek Voyager (1995)\Featurettes\Season 7 Special Effects.mkv
\Star Trek Voyager (1995)\Featurettes\Season 7 Gag Reel.mkv
\Star Trek Voyager (1995)\Season 07\Star Trek Voyager - S07E01.mkv
\Star Trek Voyager (1995)\Season 07\Star Trek Voyager - S07E02.mkv
\Star Trek Voyager (1995)\Season 07\Star Trek Voyager - S07E03.mkv
.....

What am I doing wrong? :frowning:

Check the TV show library settings.

  1. Edit the library, choose Advanced.
  2. Check the box for Use Local Assets.
  3. Save Changes, rescan the library, refresh metadata for the show (or entire library).

They should appear in the Plex Android mobile app and in Plex Web (app.plex.tv/desktop).

Some TV show extras on my system. Visible in both Plex Web and Plex Android mobile.

Use Local Assets was enabled.

When I do this:
\Star Trek Voyager (1995)\Season 07\Star Trek Voyager - S07E01 special fx-featurette.mkv

Then that extra shows up under that Episode.

But I can’t get show/season level extras to show up.

I also tried to put the “Featurette” folder inside the Season 07 folder as suggested here.

But that also does not give me extras on the season level.

I did not refresh the metadata, that fixed it. :smiley:

TV Show Extras also show up on the Apple TV 4k :slight_smile:

However this only works on the main TV Show level, it does not work per Season as this blog entry would suggest.

Locating a “Featurettes” folder inside “Season 07” does not work at all for me.
