Hi
My Media Scan takes a lot of time, as it always scans every TV-Show and every Season. As time runs my library got bigger and bigger and a refresh takes over 10 minutes.
I would like to "Comment" a Season or a Full TV-Show as Completed/Cancelled so the Scan will ignore this Show/Season BUT still display it in Plex.
I know there is a feature where you can exclude contend from the Scan but it will not longer be displayed in Plex :(
Searched through the naming/indexing guide and did not find a solution.
I could think of a few ways to do this:
In this variation you just put the Season Folder in the Completed Folder
/TV-Shows
/Heroes
/Completed
/S01
/S02
-----
This one is a bit nasty as we have to keep Track and don't make double entries
/TV-Shows
/Completed
/Heroes
/S01
/Heroes
/S02
-----
Changing the Name of the TV-Show/Season so Plex see's the Complete Tag and Ignore the Folder (hopefully no TV-Show will be called Complete...):
/TV-Shows
/Heroes - Complete
or
/TV-Shows
/Heroes
/S01 - Complete
/S02
-----
With an Index File like the Exclude Funtction but with another Tag so the Show will be still listed:
/TV-Shows
.finished_shows
.finished_seasons
In these files will be the relative path to the finished seasons or Shows
-----
last but not least:
Trakt integration as following:
Check the Episode-count if all episodes are in Plex just exlude them from scanning (add Manual override for new Metadata-Refresh)
This automated Method would be the best way and brings additional functionality like:
- Hey dude Episode 3 is Missing
- Hey, Next Episode is Aired next Monday
- Sorry for your loss but the Show was canceled
- etc.
I miss this realy hard
